The PennWest Communication Sciences and Disorders Department allows high-school seniors to apply for provisional acceptance to the PennWest University Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology (MSSLP) graduate program. Successful applicants will have guaranteed admission to the MSSSLP program pending maintenance of all undergraduate requirements and earning a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from PennWest University.

Careers and Salaries

Careers that relate to communication science and communication disorders are on the rise. According to the U.S.Bureau of Labor Statistics, jobs for speech-language pathologists  are expected to grow 21% -- much faster thanother occupations – between now and 2031. Jobs for audiologists are expected togrow 10% in the same time period. Both of these professions require youcomplete an accredited graduate program.

As a graduate of PennWest’s B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders, you may also pursue graduate studies in social work, counseling, and special education or enter the workforce as a speech-language pathology assistant.
