How to secure financial aid
Your PennWest education is a crucial investment in your future. Finding ways to secure financial aid can combine many different resources. Filling out the FAFSA every year, knowing your costs, applying for scholarships, grants, and awards, updating your financial status, and assessing your need for student loans are all important in affording college.
There are many sources of financial aid—University or private scholarships and need-based awards, federal and state aid and loans, or personal loans from external organizations or lending agencies such as banks and credit unions.
To be eligible for a PennWest financial aid package, U.S. students must complete a FAFSA form every year—even if they received financial aid in a previous year.
