What We Do
University Communications and Marketing (UCM) is a team of creative, collaborative storytellers and marketers dedicated to promoting the Power of PennWest, supporting strategic priorities in recruitment and advancement, and fostering collaborative storytelling across our four campuses.
Our team leverages data-driven strategies and innovative solutions to elevate PennWest’s reputation, support recruitment and advancement, and celebrate the accomplishments of our faculty, staff, students, and alums. We bring PennWest’s success to life through a collaborative approach, driving lasting impact and engagement.
UCM provides strategic communications, marketing, and branding to serve all four campuses. From design and media relations to social media strategy, photography, video production, and web services, we help ensure your message is impactful and reaches the right audience.

We follow a consistent creative process and production timeline to ensure high-quality results. To help with planning, project types and estimated delivery times are below. Please allow extra lead time during our busiest periods: February–May and September–December.
Large Projects (8-12 weeks)
Includes major publications, multi-piece campaigns, custom photo shoots, and complex initiatives requiring detailed planning. Most event-related requests also fall into this category due to the time needed to plan, design and produce promotional materials several weeks ahead of the event date.
Standard Projects (4-6 weeks)
Covers new designs for small to medium-sized pieces like flyers, brochures, postcards, etc., and includes moderate updates to existing larger publications. Identity/logo development and infographics fall under standard projects.
Moderate Alterations/Small Projects (2-4 weeks)
For minor updates to existing printed or digital materials, moderate changes to invitations, brochures, flyers, postcards, or website content.
Re-orders/Reprints (1-2 weeks)
Minor updates to existing projects for accuracy, such as reprints or reorders. Includes requests for existing imagery, graphics and logos.
Academic Program Promotion
If you are requesting materials to promote a specific academic program, please consult with your dean before submitting a request.
To get started, complete and submit a Project Request Form, and our project manager will be in touch.
