PennWest’s bachelors in Economics prepares you to solve complex business problems. It integrates business study with the liberal arts, natural and behavioral science and modern quantitative and information technology methods.
This fully accredited program teaches you to gather, organize and critically analyze data using mathematical formulas and statistics, and to develop models to predict the impact of investments, policy decision, industry trends, demographics and other variables.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of economists is projected to grow 6 percent from 2021 to 2031, about as fast as the average for all occupations. They predict approximately 1,400 job openings for economists each year, on average, over the next decade. While many organizations require economists to hold a master’s degree, some government agencies hire economists with a bachelor’s degree.
