Dual Enrollment

Get a head start on your college education while still in high school.

Dual Enrollment provides you the opportunity to take college courses while still in high school. The college credits may count towards high school credits and will be posted on your university academic transcript. Dual Enrollment is available Fall, Spring, Summer sessions and are taught by qualified university faculty.

Classes are taught 100% online through PennWest Global Online or on campus.

On campus courses at PennWest California, PennWest Clarion or PennWest Edinboro are available on a case-by-case basis only and with permission of the instructor and provost. Please work with the Admissions office to determine availability.

Important Dates:

  • Summer Dual Enrollment applications, course registration requests, and the required materials are due by May 1st.
  • Fall Dual Enrollment applications, course registration requests, and the required materials are due by August 1st.
  • Spring Dual Enrollment applications, course registration requests, and the required materials are due by December 1st.

Requirements:

  • Are in their junior through senior year (who haven't graduated high school). Sophomore level student eligibility is on a conditional basis determined by the university
  • Have a cumulative 3.0 high school QPA or higher
  • Students can enroll in one course each term at the dual enrollment rate ($100 per credit in-state students/$150 per credit out-of-state students). Winter and Summer 1 sessions are not applicable. Additional fees are applicable.
    Students may take additional courses, at the discretion of the PennWest Provost.
