Strengthen Understanding in Challenging Courses

Supplemental Instruction/Title III Grant Support (SI) at PennWest is an internationally recognized academic support program designed to assist students in mastering challenging courses. By offering structured, peer-led study sessions that give students added practice with coursework in a collaborative group setting,  SI focuses on strengthening understanding while building effective learning and study strategies.

Program Highlights

  • Accessibility: SI sessions are open throughout the academic year, and no appointment is needed. Students can attend scheduled sessions or connect with their SI leader during designated class times.
  • Skill Development: The program focuses on helping students develop critical thinking and study strategies, fostering independent learning and adaptability to various learning styles.
