Careers and Salaries

Students who earn PennWest’s associate degree in digital media technology are prepared for entry-level careers in the printing and digital media industries. In addition, the A.S. degree leads directly to PennWest’s B.S. in Digital Media Technology. Students who complete the associate degree need only two additional years of coursework to earn a bachelor’s degree.  According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, there will be approximately 21,800 openings for web developers and digital designers over the next decade.  Right now, PennWest alumni are building top careers, working in areas such as:

  • Advertising agencies
  • Digital advertising and web development
  • Multimedia design firms
  • Publishing and commercial printing
  • Manufacturing of printing and graphic communications supplies
