If you’d like to design, create and deliver content using print and digital media technologies, PennWest’s Digital Media degree will jump start your career. Our core curriculum hones your written and oral communication skills, builds your ability to think critically, and gives you the technical knowledge you need for success in the workplace.
Five on-campus labs give you hands-on experience with the latest hardware, software, materials and processes involved in designing, preparing and reproducing visual images for print on paper, plastic, metal or textiles — or for publishing digitally online.
You’ll thrive in small classes taught by expert professors who have years of real-world multimedia communications and print production experience. They will support your learning with scenarios and insights drawn from their professional careers and can help you build a professional network. After graduation, you’ll have the competitive advantage you need to launch your career or to go on to earn your bachelor’s degree in Digital Media Technology.

Students who earn PennWest’s associate degree in digital media technology are prepared for entry-level careers in the printing and digital media industries. In addition, the A.S. degree leads directly to PennWest’s B.S. in Digital Media Technology. Students who complete the associate degree need only two additional years of coursework to earn a bachelor’s degree. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, there will be approximately 21,800 openings for web developers and digital designers over the next decade.
