PennWest Clarion’s Black Student Union invites the campus community to its first Snow Ball at 8 p.m. Nov. 10 in Gemmell MPR. The evening, which is free, is open to students, faculty and staff. Students may bring a guest.

BSU president Jamir Jackson said the ball is a formal event, but people are encouraged to dress comfortably.

“There is no gender dress code. Dress how you identify,” Jackson said.

The ball features a dinner of chicken, macaroni and cheese, roasted greens and assorted cookies. BMW Productions from Natrona Heights will provide dance music. Those attending can have fun posing in a photo booth.

Gemmell MPR will be transformed into a winter wonderland with beautiful tablecloths, snow-themed table toppers, balloons and snow-themed lights.

Jackson said the idea for the Snow Ball came from BSU vice president Jaidon Hughes. The goal is to provide a space where people from different groups and organizations can engage with one another.
