"I saw CORE (Campus Outdoor Recreation Experience) coming into college. It was one of the things that actually drew me to Edinboro," Bridget shares. Her first big leap? Skydiving. "I don't like roller coasters, so I was like, you know what? Let's try it though, because this is really cool opportunity."

Zafirovski Sports and Recreation Arena
Looking to put some extra miles on your running shoes? Check out the 85,000-square-foot Mike S. Zafirovski Sports and Recreation Arena, which houses a six-lane oval running track and four basketball courts open to students, faculty, and staff.

Also known as “The Z Dome,” the facility was named after former Edinboro swimmer and soccer player Mike Zafirovski. The facility serves as a recreation and sports practice venue for the University’s athletic teams and students while also satisfying recreational and community needs.
There are currently no open recreation hours in the dome at this time.
Exercise all your fitness options at PennWest Edinboro's state-of-the-art fitness center, located in the Frank G. Pogue Student Center, and stay in shape year-round.

Head to the great outdoors with C.O.R.E.! You'll discover a world of activities, off-campus excursions, and equipment rentals to help you stay active, challenge yourself, and have fun whatever the season.
Previous trips have included: mountain biking, day hiking, overnight camping, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, skiing and snowboarding, and even skydiving! Head to the climbing gym to see what adventures are being planned now!
Looking for a challenge? Come try one of our three 20-foot-tall indoor climbing walls. Whether looking for a workout or a new experience with friends, our climbing wall team can help you get started bouldering or top rope climbing.
Our low and high ropes courses provide an excellent opportunity to have fun, challenge yourself, grow closer with your friends, or team-build as a club or class.

Not interested in lifting weights or running but still want to get in a workout? The pool in McComb Fieldhouse is a great alternative route to fitness that offers many benefits.
The Edinboro University Disc Golf Course is a full 18-hole course featuring beginner, intermediate, and advanced tees as well as various basket positions for each hole. Enjoy open fairways on the Lowlands (front 9) and tightly wooded shots on the Highlands (back 9).
