Honors Program Policies

The Honors Program strives to provide academic, professional, and social opportunities to ambitious and high achieving students. This document outlines the requirements need to complete the Honors Program. Please read these over and then visit the Honors Program Acceptance Form to indicate your understanding of these policies and your acceptance into the Honors Program.

In order to complete the Honors Program students must:

• Maintain a 3.25 cumulative GPA;
• Complete 24 credits of honors coursework. These credits are parallel to the credits need for graduation. Honors students do not take more credits than non-honor students;
• Complete honors-related courses or addendums (contracts) cumulating in HON 4990 Honors Thesis Project;
• Earn a grade of “C” or above in all honors courses.
