The Office of the Registrar maintains and safeguards the official academic records of PennWest students and alumni. Whether you need to update personal information, request a transcript, or access details about your academic history, our office ensures your records remain accurate and complete.

PennWest has partnered with the National Student Clearinghouse to provide quick and secure, 24/7, online transcript ordering.

Need Your Official Transcript Now?

Select the delivery method of “Electronic PDF.” Secure Electronic PDF transcripts* are normally processed within 30 minutes. Documents can be submitted along with your electronic transcript request.

*Note: Electronic Transcripts must be retrieved using a desktop or laptop computer due to security features applied to the document. Mobile device and tablet access to the Download Center is blocked.

Requesting an Official Transcript:

  • Login to myPennWest
  • Locate the "Order Official Transcript" link  in the Student Quick Access tile
  • Enter  "Pennsylvania Western University" as your school.
  • Review the school and clearinghouse notifications.
  • Proceed to "Order Transcripts" and complete the requested information. 

Note: The Office of the Registrar does not provide "unofficial transcripts."

Requesting an advising/unofficial transcript:

  • Login to myPennWest
  • Go to Student Self-Service
  • Select "Academic Transcript" from the navigation links under your profile picture.
  • Select a transcript level and "Advising Transcript".
  • Submit.

  • Go to the National Student Clearinghouse order center.
  • Enter  "Pennsylvania Western University" as your school.
  • Review the school and clearinghouse notifications.
  • Proceed to "Order Transcripts" and complete the requested information. 

Note: Archived Records - If you attended Edinboro prior to 1976 or Clarion prior to 1985 or California prior to 1970, you will not be able to order an electronic transcript and must order a paper transcript.

  • Your order may also require additional days for processing.
  • If the system states you have a hold, please finish your order. We will receive notification from the NSC to review and release the hold as needed.
  • Many older records have this hold so that we can review for accuracy.

Before completing your order, please read the information provided in the National Clearinghouse Transcript Ordering Center concerning the following school notifications: 

  • Transcript processing – cost, processing times and unofficial transcript information
  • Electronic PDFs  – security settings, adobe reader download and archive information
  • Other – financial holds, transcript delays and uploading attachments information

  • $10.00 per transcript.
  • Credit/debit card will not be charged until your transcript(s) are sent.
  • PennWest does not produce partial transcripts or unofficial transcripts.

Update Personal Information

Keeping your personal information up-to-date ensures that you receive important university communications, transcripts, and graduation materials without delay. Accurate records also help protect your academic history and make future requests, like enrollment verification or alumni services, quick and seamless.

Instructions to update personal details: 
  • Sign into the myPennWest Portal.
  • Access Student Self-Service, on the Quick Access card.
  • Select Personal Information from the navigation under your profile picture.
  • On the My Profile screen, click Personal Information.
  • Click the pencil/edit icon for the detail block you wish to edit.
  • Outdated address? Click the edit icon below the address and update the “valid until” date to yesterday’s date. Or, click the trash can to delete the address.
  • New address? Choose “add new”. For the type of address, choose permanent. Add today’s date for the “valid from” date. Enter current address. Click "add".

Verify Enrollment

PennWest has partnered with the National Student Clearinghouse / Myhub for enrollment verifications. Myhub is a centralized and secure online destination where learners can access all their academic records from multiple institutions held by the National Student Clearinghouse.

In the myPennWest Portal, locate the Myhub - Enrollment Verifcation link on the Student Quick Access tile.

Through Myhub, you can:

  • Download and print enrollment certificates current terms.
  • Download and print advanced registration documentation for upcoming terms.
  • Order transcripts.

Myhub uses multi-factor authentication (MFA) through a code sent to your mobile device or email. The first time you log in, you will be prompted to set up MFA.

Enter the preferred authentiction method and click "SEND CODE."  Enter the verification code and click Verify. 

To download your enrollment verification certificate: 

  • On the Myhub dashboard, select Self Service.
  • Choose "All Enrollment Certificates" for all terms enrolled at PennWest, or "Current Enrollment Certificate" which shows that you are currently enrolled.
  • Click Download.

Viewing information regarding loan deferments:

From the main Myhub menu, select "View Verification Events."

You will see when reports were sent to the Department of Education and the National Student Loan Database System (NSLDS). Student enrollment status is provided monthly to the NSLDS, which updates a student's loan servicers on a regular basis.

If you select "View," you will see additional details, such as your reported "Anticipated Graduation Date" and your enrollment status.

  • Employers wanting to verify degrees can contact the National Student Clearinghouse directly. 
  • The National Student Clearinghouse receives monthly enrollment information updates, and degree information two weeks after your degree has been conferred.
