It takes critical thinking, ethical decision-making and a wealth of scientific knowledge to become a nurse. These skills form the backbone of the innovative, four-year BSN Nursing program at PennWest.
Beginning with your first semester, you will delve into course work that prepares you for nursing practice. Our rigorous curriculum combines professional nursing courses with science courses that help you develop the knowledge you need to deliver quality and safe patient care. In addition, an in-depth capstone project and several clinical learning experiences allow you to explore various avenues of nursing practice and provide hands-on training.
A highly qualified, respected faculty ensures you’re always on track. They not only teach, but they help you develop both personally and professionally into the role of a nurse.
Upon completion of the program you’ll receive a Bachelor of Science Nursing degree and be eligible to take the NCLEX Examination for licensure to work as a Registered Nurse (RN).
