Nursing is a dynamic, high-demand field. It requires a good judgment, a spirit of inquiry and keen interest in helping others. It is a career with tremendous growth potential and flexibility. According to the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, nurses make up the largest component of the healthcare workforce, are the primary providers of hospital patient care and deliver most of the nation’s long-term care.
PennWest’s two-year Nursing degree gets you ready to take your place in this ever-changing field.
You will learn under the guidance of expert faculty who understand best practices and the fast-paced demands of today’s healthcare environment. They will provide you with didactic knowledge as well as clinical experiences and train you to work within structured settings and with other members of the healthcare team.
The program provides you with the knowledge and skills you need to sit for the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) NCLEX exam. You will graduate in two years and enter the workforce as an RN upon successful completion of the NCLEX exam. As a working RN, your employer may offer financial assistance for earning higher nursing degrees.
