Alumni and friends will return to campus Oct. 22 for Celebrate California Homecoming 2022.

Highlights of the day include the parade at noon Saturday, which will begin at the Convocation Center and make its way down Third Street in the borough.

After the parade, the Office of Alumni Relations invites everyone to the Homecoming Tailgate Party at Roadman Park from 1-3:30 p.m. to enjoy food trucks, kids activities and reconnecting with Cal U friends.

The California Vulcans host Slippery Rock beginning at 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Halftime festivities include the crowning of the 2022 Homecoming King and Queen. The court this year is Erika Vogel, Lena Wankel, Hailey Lucas, Lexi Hahn, Patrick Rogers, Wade Wolfgang, Christopher Santili, Naomi Terrell, Jahneek Fant and Noah Kendall.

Joy Helsel ’83, ’86 is the grand marshal of this year’s Homecoming Parade, which will be available via livestream at https://www.facebook.com/SAIatCalU/live.

Helsel worked at Cal U for more than 30 years, primarily in Student Affairs and Greek life. She also was the yearbook adviser from 1995-2014.
