About Me
Dr. YooJin Ha is a Professor in the Department of Library and Information Science at Pennsylvania Western University at Clarion. She earned her Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from Rutgers University and her MSLS from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Her library work experiences include serving as a reference librarian at the East Brunswick Public Library in NJ, a metadata indexer at the Scholarly Communication Center (SCC) at Rutgers University Library, and a cataloger at the Central Library of Yonsei University in South Korea. Dr. Ha has served on a variety of university wide and department committees such as university curriculum committee, the advisory council for international education and programming, presidential commission on the status of women, various standing committees of the faculty senate, tenure, sabbatical leave, nominations and elections, and departmental search, evaluation, curriculum, promotion, and scholarship. She has involved in major associations in library and information science field including the Association for Library and Information Science Education (ALISE), the American Library Association (ALA), and Pennsylvania Library Association (PaLA). Dr. Ha’s research interests include users’ information seeking behavior, online information retrieval and access, library service and system evaluation, interaction design and user studies.
