About Me
Dr. O’Neil is a professor at PennWest Clarion University where her eclectic interest in Communication allows her to teach various courses within Organizational and Interpersonal Communication. With an Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) perspective, O’Neil teaches her strategic communication courses by incorporating ideas from advertising, public relations, and corporate communication with a digital media perspective as well. O’Neil also enjoys enlightening her students about human communication and relationships. O’Neil enjoys research and has prepared and presented numerous studies at National and International Communication Conferences. O’Neil is active on Clarion’s campus and is the Academic Advisor for Clarion’s American Advertising Federation club.
Dr. O’Neil earned her PhD. in Communication from The Ohio State University with a concentration in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication. Her research centers around familial, relational, and organizational communication with particular interest in grandparent-grandchild communication. O’Neil’s background extends to psychological and career counseling with a Master’s Degree from Slippery Rock University and a B.A. from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.
O’Neil enjoys spending time with her six grandchildren (and their parents), watching friends racing dirt track, driving her Shelby Mustang, and playing pickleball.
