Connie Monroe, PhD

Dr. Connie Monroe is a professor in the Education Department at PennWest University.   She previously served as chair of the Department of Secondary Education and Administrative Leadership at California University of Pennsylvania and as acting dean of the College of Education and Human Services at that institution. She has served in several other roles including:  assessments coordinator, teacher education oversight committee, and  co-chair for the English Education Collaborative.  She also serves on the board for Scholastic Arts and Writing of Southwestern Pennsylvania.   Before entering higher education, she traveled as a military wife and taught middle and high school French, English,  and English as a Second Language at public and private schools in Texas, Colorado, and Ohio.
