About Me
Melissa Brydon, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, is an Associate Professor in the Communication Sciences
and Disorders Department at Pennsylvania Western University - Clarion. Dr. Brydon
completed her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Speech-Language Pathology at Indiana University
of Pennsylvania, and her Ph.D. in Reading Education at the University of Pittsburgh.
As a speech–language
pathologist and reading specialist, she’s worked with children of all ages in a variety
of settings since 2003. Dr. Brydon’s areas of expertise include pediatric speech,
language, and literacy disorders; specifically, Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS),
Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and dyslexia.
