About Me

Jeanne Slattery, PhD, is Professor of Psychology and Assistant Chair in the Department of Psychology, Counseling, and Art Therapy. She is a licensed psychologist with a small practice in Clarion. Her professional service include president of Pennsylvania Psychological Association (2021 – 2024), Secretary of American Psychological Association's Division 31, State, Territorial, and Provincial Associations (2024 – 2026), Member of APA's Council of Representatives (2025 – 2027), and as a member of Governor Wolf's Behavioral Health Commission on Adult Mental Health (2022). She loves teaching and her students, facilitated Clarion University's Partners in Teaching, Learning, and Assessment, and co-edited Hand in Hand, which looked at good teaching and teaching practices. She won PPA's Ethics Educators Award in 2020. She has published three books on trauma and clinical practice.
