Jayakumar (Jay) Annadatha, DSc

Dr. Jay Annadatha has been a faculty member since 2015 (on the Clarion campus and since Fall 2023 at the California campus). He holds degrees in Engineering and Information Systems. Dr. Annadatha mostly teaches graduate level courses in Data Science and Analytics besides undergraduate courses in Computer Information Systems. Courses that he has taught include Database Management Systems & Data Warehousing, Python programming for Data Science, Analytical Methods and Optimizations, Applied Data Mining, Predictive Modeling and Analytics, Data Visualization, and Big Data Analytics. Dr. Annadatha’ s research focuses on analytics, Text Mining/Sentiment Analysis, Social Network Analysis and Knowledge Management. Dr. Annadatha serves as the program coordinator for the MS in Data Science and Analytics. He mentors high school students through non-profits: Smart Futures and STEM Coding Lab aimed at bringing computer science education into under-resourced schools. Dr. Annadatha also offers consulting services to Clarion SBDC clients with data analytics business initiatives.
