David Lott, PhD

Dr. David Lott is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology, Earth, and Environmental Sciences at Pennsylvania Western University.  In addition to his teaching duties, Dr. Lott has held several different positions at Penn West – Clarion including the Director of the Venango Honors Program, the Chair of the Department of Justice, Law, Technology and Liberal Arts, and the Interim Chair of the Department of Nursing.  Dr. Lott has also served as the Chair of the Venango forum, the Chair of the University-Wide Promotion Committee, and as a member of numerous departmental search and evaluation committees.  Most recently, he has served as a member of the University-Wide Tenure Committee and as the Vice Chair of the Penn West University Curriculum Committee (UCC).  Dr. Lott is also involved in the local community having served as a youth soccer coach and as a local high school band association member and president.  Dr. Lott has presented at local, state, and national conferences, and his research interests focus on teaching effectiveness for students pursuing a health-related field.
