About Me
Anderson began his term as PennWest’s second president on July 1, 2024.
Before his appointment by the PASSHE Board of Governors, Anderson was provost and vice president for academic affairs at Southern Utah University (SUU), a regional institution with more than 15,000 students and nearly 950 employees.
His previous roles include provost and vice president for academic affairs at Middle Georgia State University, which has five physical campuses and an online division; and administrative positions at the University of West Georgia, where he was deputy provost and associate vice president, and the University of Kentucky.
Anderson and his wife, Kristy, along with their son Bryce, have made the president’s home in Clarion their primary residence; they live intermittently on the California and Edinboro campuses. The Andersons also have six adult children and seven granddaughters.
