FAMILY WEEKEND SCHEDULE

Friday, March 22

All Day: Stop by the Pogue Fitness Center any time on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday and receive a free Guest Pass to the Fitness Center! All guests (non-students) must be at least 18 years of age or older and must accompanied by an active member (student) for the entirety of their visit. Recreation Center hours 6am-10pm.

6 p.m.: The Peer Educators will host two educational and fun games for students and their parents. Join us in Pogue Theater for “Alcohol Jeopardy” (teaches about the effects of alcohol) and for “How Well Do You Know Your Family?” (a game that will make you laugh as you try to guess each other’s responses). PRIZES will be given to the winners of each game!

7:30 p.m.: “Shrek” sponsored by UPB in the Theatre

Friday and Saturday – Enjoy half price appetizers at the EDINBORO HOTEL, located at 100 Meadville Street, Edinboro, PA. Pick up coupons at the Information Desk in Pogue before you go!

All weekend – Enjoy 10% off in store purchases at Bean & Bear Café, 222 West Plum Street, Edinboro, PA.  Pick up coupons at the Information Desk in Pogue before you go!

Saturday, March 23

10 a.m.: Family and guest Check In – Baron-Forness Library Lobby. Pick up your schedule of events, Brunch tickets, give a way and more.

10 a.m.: Get your day started with something sweet! Stop by the Residence Life and Housing table after you check-in for a complimentary cookie on us!

10:30 a.m.: Welcome and Parent Portal Social – Baron-Forness Library. Learn about the Parent Portal, meet PennWest staff and connect with PennWest Edinboro parents.

11 a.m.: Family photos – Baron Forness Library lobby

11 a.m. – 2 p.m.: Brunch in Van Houten– free tickets available for the first 100 participants with a PW Edinboro student

3-5 p.m.: Are you a Cornhole champion? Stop by the Pogue Lawn (rain location – Pogue Gymnasium) between 3-5pm to participate in our Cornhole Throw Off! Participants will get a chance to throw 8 bags, receiving 1pt for every bag that lands on the board and 3pts for every bag that goes in. Top three student scorers will receive Amazon e-gift cards!

Join Campus Recreation for some fun on the Pogue Lawn (rain location Pogue Gymnasium) as we play some of our favorite yard games! Games will include Cornhole, Kan Jam, Ladder Golf, Spikeball, Bocce, and Giant Jenga. Stop by anytime between 3-5pm and show off your skills!

Come hang out in the SGA game room located on the 2nd floor of Pogue Student Center and enjoy pool tables, shuffleboard, karaoke, free ice cream, prizes and more.

Come enjoy crafts, trivia, prizes and more, located on the 2nd floor of Pogue student center sponsored by Greek Life.

7 p.m.: PennWest Choir Concert, Cole Auditorium inside Memorial Hall, 7pm. The concert will feature all three University Choirs from each campus (Edinboro, Clarion and California). Each choir will do about a 15-20 minute set and then a combined piece at the end. One hour concert with no intermission.  It is a free concert for all to attend.

7:30 p.m.: Grocery Bingo sponsored by UPB Bingo AND saving money?! Come join the University Programming Board in Van Houten North Dining Room for our monthly Grocery Bingo! Play rounds of bingo with the prizes being the groceries you may need for your apartment or the Residence Halls. Also enjoy mini-game giveaways in between rounds and stay till the end for our grand prize giveaway!
