PennWest University’s California campus will host the Careers Within Reach Career and Internship Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 18 in the Performance Center, located in the Natali Student Center.
The networking event will bring regional employers to campus to connect directly with students exploring internships, career pathways and professional opportunities.
The fair will feature employers representing a wide range of industries, including education, manufacturing, energy, human services, finance and technology. Students will have the opportunity to engage in conversations about internships, full-time roles and career preparation while gaining insight into workforce expectations and emerging opportunities.
PennWest alumni will represent several businesses at the fair -- highlighting the lasting connection between the university and its graduates and demonstrating how PennWest prepares students for meaningful careers across the region and beyond.
“These events are about more than job postings,” said Rhonda Gifford, executive director of experiential learning and employer engagement at PennWest. “They give students a chance to build confidence, practice professional communication and see firsthand how their PennWest experience translates into real-world opportunities. Careers Within Reach reflects our commitment to making those connections accessible and achievable for our students.”
Students from all majors are encouraged to attend, whether they are actively seeking employment or just beginning to explore career options. The fair reinforces PennWest’s emphasis on experiential learning by creating space for students to build relationships with employers — including alumni who once stood in their shoes.
Students from the California, Clarion, Edinboro and Global Online campuses who cannot attend in person can review employers and job postings through the Cal Campus Spring 2026 Internship & Career Fair Collection on Handshake.
The Careers Within Reach Internship and Career Fair is part of PennWest’s broader effort to align academic experiences with workforce needs, strengthen employer partnerships, and support students as they prepare for life after graduation.
