The Edinboro women’s club basketball team finished the regular season with an impressive 10–2 record and will advance to postseason play in the National Club Basketball Association – Women’s Division (NCBBA-W).
Competing in the North Atlantic West Conference, the Fighting Scots faced teams from St. Bonaventure, SUNY Oswego, Rochester, SUNY Brockport, St. John Fisher and Niagara as part of the largest women’s club basketball league in the country, which includes nearly 100 university club teams.
With a top-two finish in the conference, Edinboro qualified for the NCBBA-W North Atlantic Regional Championship Tournament, scheduled for March 29 at Syracuse University. The regional field includes Syracuse, St. Bonaventure and SUNY Cortland. The tournament winner will move on to the eight-team NCBBA-W National Championship Tournament, set for April 10–12 in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Since joining the NCBBA-W prior to the 2023–24 season, the Fighting Scots have established themselves as one of the conference’s most successful programs. During that span, Edinboro has recorded the most conference wins (29) and fewest losses (5), captured the 2023–24 conference championship, and reached three consecutive regional tournaments.
The team also advanced to the national championship tournament in 2024–25, earned a national ranking as high as No. 8, and produced seven NCBBA-W All-Americans: Jaylie Green, Joelle Paul, Torsha McCall, Carly Churchill, Emily Cevera, Kendall Sankey and Maddie Cowie.
