Clarion’s Love INC founder to deliver keynote at annual Martin Luther King breakfast

The 14th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Breakfast is set for Jan. 19 in Eagle Commons, PennWest Clarion. The theme is The King Legacy: Non-Violence in a Violent World.
Angelo Anderson, founder and executive director of Love INC of Clarion County, will deliver the keynote address. Inspired by the legacy of King, Anderson believes that service and unity are at the heart of justice and reconciliation. Through his leadership at Love INC and his passion for spreading the gospel, he continues to pursue his calling to see lives and communities renewed through faith, love, and collective action. A nonprofit, Love INC of Clarion County is one of more than 100 Love INC locations across the United States and Kenya that partner with more than 7,800 Christian churches of various denominations to serve hundreds of thousands of people in need.
Anderson is a devoted husband, father of two, and elder at Zion Church of Clarion. A proud Clarion University alumnus, he has spent 24 years in human services, working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. He previously founded the Winds of Trade Community Center, an early expression of his vision to strengthen communities through compassion and collaboration.
Jon Anderson, president of Pennsylvania Western University, will present the welcome, and Heath Calhoun, Golden Eagles diving coach, will deliver closing remarks. Jaylyn Twitty will give the student address, and Rebecca Lopuh, director of PennWest Clarion Choir, will lead the singing of “Lift Every Voice.”
Cost of the breakfast is $10 at the door. Doors open at 8:30 a.m., and the breakfast begins at 9 a.m. Non-perishable food items will be collected in support of Clarion Community Food Bank. RSVP by Jan. 8.
