Amanda Corna, a senior at PennWest Clarion, has spent the last four years creating lasting memories both academically and personally. Her time on campus is marked by finding a sense of community and freely exploring her academic interests.
Actively engaged in numerous campus organizations, including her role as a majorette in the Golden Eagles Marching Band, Corna holds particularly fond memories of her involvement with Kappa Kappa Psi, a national honorary fraternity for college and university band members, and the Tri Sigma sorority.
Reflecting on these experiences, Corna said, “I have met so many wonderful people and made so many new friends.”
In just over a week, Corna will graduate with a degree in integrative studies with a concentration in community services as well as a minor in psychology.
This tailored academic path, developed in close collaboration with her advisor, allowed Corna to weave together courses directly relevant to her multifaceted academic and career aspirations.
Upon graduating, Corna plans to complete a summer internship in a life skills classroom as a steppingstone to pursuing a graduate degree. This hands-on experience will provide invaluable practical skills, bringing her closer to her dream of working with children in the mental health field.
“I have loved my time here and will never forget the memories I have made,” Corna said. “I am so excited to graduate from PennWest Clarion and see what the future holds for me.”
