band at homecoming parade

Ghosts, goblins, and plenty of Vulcans spirit will take over campus Oct. 12–20 as PennWest California celebrates Homecoming 2025 with the festive theme “This is Caloweentown.”

The weeklong celebration will feature campus events for students throughout the week and the traditional Homecoming parade and football game on Saturday, Oct. 18.

“Homecoming is one of the most anticipated traditions at PennWest California,” said Dave Goodwill, chair of the California Homecoming committee. “This year’s theme, 'This is Caloweentown,' offers the perfect mix of fun, tradition, and school spirit.”

Festivities on Saturday, Oct. 18, begin at 10 a.m. on the Duda Hall Lawn with family fun, including bounce houses, a petting zoo, and food trucks. At noon, the Homecoming Parade will bring music, color, and energy to Third Street.

Athletics will highlight the afternoon. The Vulcans football team hosts Clarion at 3 p.m. Oct. 18 at Adamson Stadium, with the crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen at halftime. Soccer fans can also cheer on the Vulcans women’s team at 1 p.m. and the men’s team at 3 p.m. against Gannon at Phillipsburg field.
