Physics grad Sanders hosts summer Stars Over Clarion shows
Popular program highlights celestial happenings
The Pennsylvania Western University Department of Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics will continue the popular Stars Over Clarion program in June, July and August on the Clarion campus.
James Sanders, a 2019 graduate with a bachelor’s degree in physics and concentration in astrophysics, will guest host the programs at 7 p.m. June 7, July 5 and Aug. 2 in Peirce Planetarium, on the second floor of the Science and Technology Center.
Sanders previously hosted Stars Over Clarion as a student. He will use stories from science and mythology to highlight the summer’s brightest stars and the most important celestial happenings.
"We are thrilled to welcome back James Sanders for the summer installments of Stars over Clarion,” said Dr. Sharon Montgomery, PennWest physics professor. “James ran Stars over Clarion for several years while a student. A gifted storyteller, his shows were always popular and well-received.”
Sanders is self-employed in his company, Fly Science Outreach and Productions.
Admission is free, and the show is open to the public. The planetarium is wheelchair accessible.
