Edinboro women’s club hoops wins conference title

The Edinboro women’s club basketball team recently completed its first season in the National Club Basketball Association – Women’s Division. At 80 teams, it’s the largest collegiate club basketball league in the country.

After posting the best record in its conference, Edinboro was crowned the NCBBA-W North Atlantic West Conference Champion.

Edinboro went 14-3 overall and 9-1 in conference play, advanced to the NCBBA-W Regional Tournament and was ranked as high as 10th in the nation in the Tytan Athletics NCBBA-W national collegiate club rankings.

During the season, the team beat St. Bonaventure three times, Brockport twice, Niagara twice, St. John Fisher twice, John Carroll twice, Kent State once, Walsh once, and Oswego once. The team’s only losses were to West Virginia, Oswego and Syracuse.
