Five Edinboro women’s club basketball players named All-Americans
Paul, Green named to the NCBAA-W All-America First Team
Five members of the Edinboro women’s club basketball team were recently named to the National Club Basketball Association – Women’s Division All-America Team. The NCBBA-W is the largest women’s collegiate club basketball league in the country and is comprised of over 80 teams.
Joelle Paul and Jaylie Green were named to the NCBAA-W All-America First Team. Paul, a junior from Erie, Pennsylvania, was a standout on defense. Green, a sophomore from Farrell, Pennsylvania, averaged more than 10 points and 10 rebounds during the spring semester.
Torsha McCall, Emily Cevera and Carly Churchill were named to the NCBBA-W All-America Second Team. McCall, a junior from Waterford, Pennsylvania, led the team in scoring, with 12 points per game, and assists, with three per game, during the spring semester. Cevera, a senior from Ashtabula, Ohio, led the team in 3-point percentage (33%) during the spring semester. Churchill, a senior from Erie, Pennsylvania, was one of the team’s top rebounders and scorers.
During the 2023-2024 season, Edinboro went 14-3 overall and 9-1 in conference games. Edinboro also advanced to the NCBBA-W Regional Tournament and was ranked as high as 10th in the nation in the Tytan Athletics NCBBA-W national collegiate club rankings.
