About Me
Tonya Otto is an Assistant Professor and Online Learning and OER Librarian in the University Libraries at PennWest Clarion. She is a two-time graduate of Clarion University, earning her MSLS in 2016 and B.S.Ed. in Library Science in 2015. She also holds a M.Ed. in Technology for Online Instruction from Slippery Rock University. The majority of her work focuses on serving online students and faculty by providing reference, instruction, and embedded librarian services. She is also interested in working with faculty to explore Open Educational Resources (OER) and affordable learning options for courses. Tonya has served on the Sabbatical Leave Committee, the OER Task Force at Clarion, and Faculty Senate. She also serves as co-editor for the peer-reviewed journal Current Studies in Librarianship. Tonya is involved in Affordable Learning PA (ALPA) as a campus partner and working group chair to help advocate for accessible education in Pennsylvania.
