About Me
Clarion alumnae and former student-athlete Larissa Roberts was hired onto the Golden Eagle athletic training staff in Summer 2022.
Roberts returned to Clarion after an exciting four-year stint at Penn State – New Kensington, where she independently built and constructed a sports medicine department at the university. She subsequently became the first full-time athletic trainer for the Nittany Lions and their eight varsity athletic programs.
As an employee at Excela Health Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, Roberts was also a Physician Extender at the Orthopedic and Concussion Clinic in Greensburg. She acquired over 2,500 clinical hands-on patient care hours while there.
Before that, Roberts spent two years as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Westminster. She worked with all 22 varsity athletic programs, coordinating and establishing rehabilitation programs.
Roberts was a student-athlete on the Golden Eagle women’s golf team from 2012-16, earning back-to-back national scholar athlete awards in 2014-15. She has been a member of the National Association of Athletic Trainers (NATA) since 2013. Roberts graduated in 2016 with Bachelor’s of Science degrees in Liberal Studies and Athletic Training from Clarion and California (PA), respectively. She earned her Master of Education degree from Westminster in 2018.
