About Me
Dr. Anthony S. Pyzdrowski is a Professor in the Department of Computing and Engineering Technology in the program of Computer Science at Pennsylvania Western University – California where he also participates in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology program. Dr. Pyzdrowski actively served as member of the University Wide Curriculum Committee as well as the University Tenure Committee for many years. He led a successful ABET accreditation of the Computer Science Program in 2011 with no identified concerns, weaknesses or deficiencies and continues to work with other department faculty members to maintain an accredited Computer Science Program. Dr. Pyzdrowski creates STEM curriculum for pre-service teacher courses and foundational college mathematics courses in addition to developing materials for middle school and high school students. He serves as a consultant to provide STEM teacher professional development for a Department of Defense STEM initiative. Dr. Pyzdrowski is involved in the local community by scoring a Cub Scout Pine Wood Derby event each spring and by maintaining a digitally monitored track for the event. He is a member of the Uniontown Sons of Italy, the Uniontown Amateur Radio Club, and holds an FCC Extra class radio license. Dr. Pyzdrowski holds a FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate, is a SCUBA Dive Master and a Master SCUBA Diver. He enjoys designing and building radio-controlled boats, airplanes, helicopters, and multi rotor vehicles and designs and builds microprocessor/microcontroller devises. Dr. Pyzdrowski has presented at numerous international, national, regional, and local conferences and has numerous publications and has an Erdos number of 2.
