Matthew Price, PhD

Dr. Matthew Price is a Professor of Organic and Biochemistry in the Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics Department and Interim Associate Provost at Pennsylvania Western University, California campus.

Dr. Price is originally from Rocky Mountain west where he earned her BS in Chemistry at Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado. He then pursued a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at the University of Utah in the late 1990’s. Dr. Price joined the faculty at PennWest University-California  2005, he has predominantly taught Organic Chemistry I/II and Biochemistry courses. She has an active undergraduate research lab that focuses on synthesizing derivatives of photochromic materials to study structure and activity functions.
