About Me
Dr. Pamela Karg is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nursing at Pennsylvania Western University, Clarion Campus. Pam has been a Registered Nurse for over 30 years and a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner and Certified School Nurse for 20 years. Pam has practiced in several different fields as a Registered Nurse including pediatrics at Dubois Regional Medical Center, ICU at Clarion Hospital, and Clarion Forest Visiting Nurses Association. As a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner, she has practiced at Ear, Nose, and Throat of NW PA, Internal Medicine at Clarion, PA, Hope Pediatrics in Seneca, PA, and Riverview Intermediate Unit #6 where she cared for the multi-disabled handicapped, autistic, and emotionally disturbed children.
At Pennsylvania Western University Pam has served on several committees including: Daisy Awards Cameo of Caring Committee, Testing Committee where she serves as Chair, Nursing Scholarship Committee, Simulation Committee, Interprofessional Education Committee, Departmental Representative Committee, Faculty Senate: Temporary Faculty Subcommittee, PennWest Bookstore RFP Committee, and most recently, the BSN Curriculum Committee. Pam also serves as a Thesis Advisor for research projects for Honors students in the BSN program and Chair for Doctor of Nursing Practice Projects. In addition, Pam was a speaker on a COVID-19 Vaccine Panel with the Experts for university students and the community. Lastly, Pam was a Student Senate and Equity Awards Nominee twice for Outstanding Employee and once for Outstanding Supporter.
