Melanie Best, MSN-CPNP, DNP

Dr. Melanie Best is an assistant professor of nursing, assistant chair and graduate coordinator of the Department of Nursing and Health Professions. Dr. Best earned her BSN and MSN-CPNP from the University of Pittsburgh and her DNP from Clarion/Edinboro University.  Her background is in pediatric nursing where she spent 20 years in private practice as a pediatric nurse practitioner.  Dr. Best has been teaching for Pennsylvania Western University since 2017 in the nursing department including undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
