About Me
Professor Jeff Giovannucci is an Associate Professor and Program Director of Health Science and Clinical Coordinator of Master of Athletic Training programs in the Department of Exercise, Health and Sport Sciences and a Co-director of the Interdisciplinary Pre-health Committee at Pennsylvania Western University. Prof. Giovannucci is currently completing his dissertation in Administration and Leadership at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and has earned a Master of Arts in Education with concentrations in Curriculum and Instruction/Education Learning Technologies and a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. Prof. Giovannucci is a certified and licensed Athletic Trainer with 14 years of clinical and academic experience at institutions throughout the U.S. while providing health care to NCAA Divisions I, II, III, and Olympic level athletes and, prior to joining PennWest, held appointments at New Mexico State University, Buena Vista University, and Marietta College. Additionally, he serves his local community by lending his expertise to Special Olympics Athletes at Fall and Winter games, serves as a Community Expert on consortiums and a key communicator group at South Fayette School District, and is the Coordinator and Director of a High School Community Outreach Program that hosts over 300 local high school students at the Pennsylvania Western University California’s Cadaver Lab every semester.
