About Me
Elisabeth Joyce is a professor in the Department of English, Philosophy and Modern Languages. She also serves as one of the faculty liaisons for Continuous Program Improvement at PennWest. She has written three books on poetics: Cultural Critique and Abstraction: Marianne Moore’s Poetry and the Visual Arts (Bucknell University Press, 1999), ‘The Small Space of a Pause’: Susan Howe’s Poetry and the Spaces Between (Bucknell University Press, 2010), and ‘A Serpentine Gesture’: John Ashbery’s Poetry and Phenomenology (University of New Mexico Press, 2022). She also conducts research on online communities and has published articles in Information and Organization, The Journal of Computer Information Systems, Information Technology & People, American Behavioral Scientist and The Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication.
