About Me
Dr. Constance Youngblood is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Elementary Education.
She has 19 years of teaching experience in a variety of grades including sixth grade, kindergarten, and gifted education K-6. She attended Edinboro University earning a master’s degree, Westminster College for a Letter of Eligibility and earned a doctorate from Youngstown State University in Educational Leadership and Technology.
She was a principal for 11 years, an assistant superintendent for personnel for 6 years and a superintendent for 5 years. She began teaching as an adjunct instructor in the education department in 2008 at Edinboro and has worked at Penn West since the consolidation of Edinboro, Clarion and California University.
She specializes in mentoring interns in educational leadership as they pursue principal and supervisor certifications and has mentored students seeking the Letter of Eligibility. She is active in her community, serving as an officer on two nonprofit boards: Child to Family Connections (a foster and adoption agency in Crawford County) and Crawford County School for Adult Education.
