About Me

Wendy Batts is an Assistant Professor in the Undergraduate and Graduate exercise science programs at Pennsylvania Western University. She is also a Regional Master Instructor for the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) where she contributes to course development as a subject matter expert, as well as educates and mentors current and aspiring fitness professionals globally on how to successfully apply NASM training and coaching methodologies in their practice. Wendy has her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Arizona State University, her Master’s degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from Cal U, her license in Massage Therapy with an emphasis in Neuromuscular Therapy and maintains her personal trainer certification, performance enhancement, corrective exercise, physique and bodybuilding, and nutrition specializations through the NASM.

As a 25-year veteran of the fitness industry, Wendy has experience working with clients ranging from physical therapy patients to elite athletes. She is a consultant for multiple organizations in the fitness, performance, and wellness industries and owns a training and therapy business (WNB Performance Solutions, LLC), working with executives as well as elite amateur, collegiate, and professional athletes. Wendy also presents nationally and internationally on a variety of topics within the field of exercise and sports science, and co-hosts two weekly podcasts.
